If you'd like to explore the Mayan Riviera, but prefer a more relaxing, less touristy experience, Puerto Morelos is the place for you.

Puerto Morelos is a small fishing village located on the beach between Cancun and Playa del Carmen. We are about 20 minutes south of the Cancun airport.

Our Beachfront condo in Villas Playasol is 2 bedrooms (two comfy king size beds) with 1.5 bathrooms, a small balcony and views of the ocean. We have a fully equipped kitchen, washer-dryer,  AC and cable TV and wireless internet. We also have a bilingual onsite manager.

There is a well maintained swimming pool and palapa patios for relaxing or dining in the shade. It's just a five minute walk to the lively town square for a variety of excellent restaurants, shopping and people watching.

Puerto Morelos is located on the Meso-American reef - the second longest barrier reef in the world. The reef lies  just 500 yards off shore, keeping the water shallow, calm and safe for swimming. The reef here is a National Park and has spectacular snorkeling directly off the beach and ample scuba diving opportunities as well.

Other local activities include: golf, deep sea and bonefishing, cenote exploring, ATV touring, bird watching, zip-line tours, a zoo, botanical gardens, and a local Mayan craft market,  A little further away are the Mayan ruins at Chichen Izta, Tulum, and Coba. Family oriented Eco-parks such as Xcaret and Xel-ha, Cancun shopping and nightlife are an easy and inexpensive bus ride away.
